Why Xrero

One system for accounting, invoicing and selling

Built for businesses in the Kingdom: everything from issuing the invoice to preparing the VAT return, in one place.

Phase 2 e-invoicing built in

Integration is built into the invoice screen: UBL 2.1 XML, cryptographic stamp, QR code, and tax invoices cleared and simplified invoices reported automatically when you confirm them.

Saudi accounting with 15% VAT

Saudi chart of accounts, 15% VAT, a ready VAT return, customer statements, post-dated cheques, fixed assets and period locks.

Arabic and English everywhere

Screens, invoices, reports and dashboards all come in Arabic and English, so your team works in the language it is comfortable with from day one.

Set up for you

We migrate your customers, products and opening balances, train your team on your own invoices in Arabic or English, then support you on WhatsApp on working days.

E-invoicing

E-invoicing from the same invoice screen

No middleware and no double entry. You issue the invoice as you always have; Xrero builds the XML, stamps it, sends it to the Fatoora platform and shows you the answer from the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) on screen.

  • Tax invoices (B2B) are cleared before delivery to the customer; simplified invoices (B2C) are reported within 24 hours
  • UBL 2.1 XML with a cryptographic stamp, the ICV invoice counter, the PIH previous-invoice hash and the 9-tag QR code
  • A cleared invoice cannot be edited or deleted; corrections are credit or debit notes that reference the original invoice
  • Onboarding uses an OTP from your own Fatoora portal, and the certificates are issued to your business, never to us
How e-invoicing works
Point of sale

A point of sale that reports to ZATCA by itself

Every till sale issues a simplified tax invoice with the stamped QR code, is reported to ZATCA automatically within minutes, and shows up in inventory and accounting in the same system.

  • Arabic cashier screen with receipt printers and card payments
  • Till invoices reported automatically within minutes
  • An online store on the same inventory and accounting if you also sell online

FAQ

What businesses ask before they integrate

Short answers about Phase 2 and about Xrero in the Kingdom.

Contact us
What is Phase 2 (integration) of e-invoicing?

It is the phase in which a business's invoicing system is connected to ZATCA's Fatoora platform. Tax invoices (B2B) are sent for clearance before they are delivered to the customer, and simplified tax invoices (B2C) are reported within 24 hours, as UBL 2.1 XML with a cryptographic stamp and a QR code.

Does it apply to me?

ZATCA notifies the businesses in each wave at least six months before their integration date. The latest announcement, Wave 25, covers businesses whose VAT-able revenue exceeded SAR 187,500 in any year from 2022 to 2025. Check the notice ZATCA sent your business, or ask us.

Do I change how I invoice?

No. You issue the invoice from the same invoice screen in Xrero as before; the system builds the XML, stamps it, sends it and shows ZATCA's answer. The one difference is that a cleared invoice cannot be edited afterwards; corrections are made with a credit or debit note.

What does it cost?

The licence is SAR 101 per user per month, or SAR 85 per user per month on an annual plan, with no minimum users; it includes e-invoicing, updates, daily backups and WhatsApp support. One-time setup starts at SAR 3,062 and includes migration and training. You start with a 15-day trial, no credit card.
